The windshield was scratched, the windshield wiper was bent, and there was a significant dent on the hood. Man arrested for "acting funny"

Federal Way officers were covering their beat near 28800 Military Road South when they were contacted by a citizen regarding a suspect. According to the witness report, the woman told police the man, Nathan T. Pierce, was "acting funny" and was likely involved in some sort of drug transaction. Officers made contact with the man around 8 p.m on April 7. The man provided officers with a false name. When questioned about the factuality of the name he had given, the suspect eventually gave his correct name. Officers ran his name through their records, and the suspect came back with two outstanding misdemeanor warrants out of Auburn. The officers confirmed the warrants and placed Pierce into custody. He was transported to the custody of Auburn Police Department. Pierce also made threats about Auburn Municipal Court Judge Burns while in custody.

Man delusional and wandering around outside

Federal Way police followed up on a call regarding an unknown man walking around outside in a tanktop and pants and acting delusional. The incident took place around 6:20 a.m. on April 7. Officers report that the man, Shawn Rodia, appeared paranoid and strung out on cocaine. Federal Way officers also reported that Rodia seemed delusional and stated people were stealing from him, pointing at his garage. Police reported that Rodia is living in filth and utilizes the stove for heat. It was also reported that Rodia was running around in the yard with a hammer.

Child injured when parent allegedly hits him with a plate

Federal Way officers followed up on a possible case of child abuse or neglect that took place on the 30500 block of 8th Avenue Southwest. The incident reportedly occurred around 9:50 a.m. on April 7. According to the report, the school nurse at the school the student attends informed officers that the victim told her his mom hit him in the head with a plate. Officers observed the obvious laceration to the victim's scalp, along with abrasions on his side. The victim told officers that the injury on his side came when his mother hit him with her crutches. There is no other information listed in the report.

Car prowlers make off with CDs, phone and Nortica jacket

Federal way police responded to a burglary call that had taken place near 27400 Pacific Highway South. At that address, the owners of a 2003 white Toyota truck were victms of a car break-in that resulted in the loss of various personal items, they told police. The prowlers made entry through the passenger door by busting the passenger side door lock. The unknown suspects stole a cellular phone, $5 in quarters, $80 in compact discs, a first aid kit, and a black Nortica jacket, valued at $150. The owners indicated that the car prowler or prowlers were able to disarm the alarm.

Argument only verbal, couple says

Federal Way officers arrived at the scene of a domestic disturbance in progress. The incident took place in an apartment unit at 34 South 333rd Lane around 11:15 p.m. on April 7. When the police showed up at the apartment, they made contact with the Barthell family, Erica and Raheem, as the couple was engaged in a heated argument at the front of their residence. Both persons indicated that they were having marital problems and became involved in an argument that was verbal only. There were no signs of injury to either party, the officers reported. Raheem retrieved several items of personal and US Army property from their residence.

Shots fired, but no suspects

Federal Way police followed up on a 911 call stating that residents of the 27900 block of Pacific Highway South had heard gunshots from their neighborhood. Officers found three .25 caliber shell casings outside Building 9 at the complainant's apartment complex. The witness said he saw a group of subjects outside the building, heard the shots and then saw the subjects run from the area. He did not see if anyone had been shot or did not have a description of the subjects. The three shell casings were collected and booked into evidence. According to the report, the incident took place around 10:35 p.m. on April 7.

Federal Way officers made contact with an unnamed woman engaged in peculiar activities near 32510 Pacific Highway South. The incident took place around 10 a.m. on April 6. Officers observed the woman walking down the street in her nightgown and trenchcoat aimlessly. Federal Way police made contact with the victim as she stood in front of a building and stated that she "owned it." She also said that "God told me I should pray." The woman was observed rambling about nonsense things, the report states. The woman failed to identify her name, and when asked stated "I have several." When officers arrived a the scene, the victim told them that a verbal argument she was having with her husband had turned violent when he tried to strangle her. The suspect, Tyson D. Verburg, was not at the scene when officers arrived. No weapons were involved, according to the report. Officers made contact with Verburg at the East Wind Motel and took him into custody. Verburg was arrested and transported to the Fife Jail.

No crime, but man spins a drunken tale about gunshots

A highly intoxicated man contacted Federal Way police to report that someone had fired several shots at him while he hid under a car. The incident took place in the parking lot of a business at 1320 South 324th Street. No other callers from the busy parking lot called 911 to report shots, and officers were suspicious that the man was making up the story. A check for shell casings and bullet holes at the incident location yielded negative results. The officers reported that the man was extremely intoxicated and could barely stand, almost falling over several times. No other information is listed in the report.

Man makes threat after neighbor has his car towed

The incident reportedly took place around 2:45 p.m. on the afternoon of April 5. The two victims were approached by the subjects, who demanded they hand over their skateboards. One of the victims was hit in the face by one of the subjects, who flashed a gun in his waistband. A K9 track was conducted following the incident, and search results for the suspect were negative.
