Local Seniors Hong and Kolas Win Chorale Scholarships

The Federal Way Chorale announced that Aimee Hong and Caitlin Kolas are the winners of its 2008 scholarship competition.
Each will receive a $1000 scholarship to help them pursue the study of music at a college of their choice.
Ms. Hong, the daughter of Faye and Edwin Hong, is a graduating senior from Thomas Jefferson High School and plans to major in music education/theater arts at Western Washington University.
Ms. Kolas, the daughter of Janet and Ron Vandenberg, is a graduating senior from Todd Beamer High and plans to begin her studies at Bellevue Community College and major in voice.
The Chorale will present the scholarship winners at its Spring Concert-"Ye Shall Have a Song"-to be held at St. Luke's Community Church in Federal Way on Saturday, May 31st at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 1st at 2:30 p.m.
