On May 3, 2008, 11:26 a.m., Federal Way Police Officers responded to the 2000 block of SW 353rd Pl, on a welfare check. The 68 yr old Asian male suspect was seen by officers attempting to injure himself with a knife. Officers made entry to the home, secured the suspect and discovered a 67 yr old white female victim with fatal stab wounds. Medical personnel attempted to revive the victim without success.

At 8:13am today the Asian male suspect was served an anti-harassment order, initiated by the victim on May 1, 2008 at King County Superior Court. The suspect subsequently left the location.

Subsequent to being served with the anti-harassment order, the suspect contacted a family friend and was despondent about the relationship. Due to the concern for his friend a call to 911 was initiated which prompted the welfare check at 11:26 am.

The suspect is in police custody at Harborview Medical Center upon release he will be booked into the King County Jail.

Federal Way Police Detectives are awaiting the service of a search warrant of the home. A knife was recovered from the suspect at the scene.

The King County Medical Examiner responded and took custody of the deceased.

Additional information will be released as the investigation continues.
