" Our home is approximately 13 miles from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Despite several years of making inquires to the FAA, Federal Way elected officials, Sea-Tac Airport administrators regarding the significant aircraft noise that invades and disrupts our dwelling 24 hours of every day, no one has provided help in this matter. What relief, if any, will the Noise Abatement Programs provide to resident like us who have lived with unreasonableness of this situation far too long? Is a meeting that includes a representative to explain the process a means to comply with grant requirements to do so, or is "rea'L relief on the way for residents plagued with a problem that appears to have no solution? " I have been complaining about aircraft noise for over a year. We live 12 miles south of Seatac , and about a half mile from the Sound. There are jets flying over our home at all hours of the day and night. These planes are at no more than 2 or 3 thousand feet. Why are they not flying over the sound , or at least 5 thousand feet, in this area. I started looking for someone to help with this problem by contacting Adam Smith's office. That was a total waste of time. They said they did not have the time or resources to help. But the did have time to send me two email messages, make a phone call, and send out a letter. I also contacted the county noise abatement manager. That was another waste of time. Other contacts include the FAA, EPA, the local newspapers, and the local television stations. No one has any interest in doing anything to help "
