" Joy, thanks for the positive article about Sanjaya. We're soooo hungry for news about him, especially since we can't see him weekly on AI anymore. Jay Leno has said, "Sanjaya, you're a class act!". Our family feels the same way about him and have enjoyed witnessing Sanjaya's growth on Idol. We can hardly wait for his first CD to come out! We love and wish Sanjaya only the best! "

" Sanjaya's rendition of "Besame Mucho" on IDOL was absolutely sensational. If he fills his first CD with romantic love songs like "Besame", this young man is going to be hot. A good title for your first CD, my friend, "Sanjaya IS Love". Get a prominent vocal coach and go for it. We hope it's soon. "

" Hey thanks to all who support Sanjaya! He takes way to much crap from people. I believe that if you are going to insult Sanjaya why not insult the other American Idol contestants. Or there is a better solution.....DON'T MAKE FUN OF THEM AT ALL! So what if they are diffrent than you! GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON WITH YOUR PATHETIC LIVES! AND STOP MAKING FUN OF HIM! "

" Thank you for some positive Sanjaya stuff! To my fellow Fanjayas: if you're looking to keep up on Sanjaya, head on over to Rickey.org. He has awesome coverage on AI and other shows too. "

" I find Sanjaya wonderfully entertaining and Google him often to learn where he'll be showing up next. However I'm afraid if he doesn't distance himself from his mother and his sister...his promising career will be over before it begins. Hopefully they are unselfish enough and loving enough to let this young man fly solo. I wish Sanjaya all the best! "

" I have loved and admired Sanjaya since his audition. My hats off to him for coming out week after week and giving his best. I know he can sing. His voice may not be as strong or as powerful as few on the show, but he gave it his best, not having the experience as the older and more experienced contestants. He does not deserve such hash criticism week after week. We know how the media and reporters are---- everyone of them jump on the same story and it is plain and simple NEGATIVE OVERKILL. But he has proved he is strong, and can withstand it all, just like the celebrities have to do. But just wait, we all haven't seen or heard the last of this outstanding, charming and talented and courageous individual. Very soon he is going to prove those critics were VERY, VERY WRONG. He will grace our tvs modeling, entertaining, singing and acting; to the total surprise of all the critics and haters out there. "

" Respect! Aretha sang it and Sanjaya deserves it! He is a hero to my son, following his dream, singing his heart out and standing up to the criticism. We were entertained, loved his style (including hair)and most of all, we fell in love! Sanjaya - we want you to know how much we love your singing! We are patiently(just kidding,we want one now!) waiting for a CD! "

" People should check youtube.com and search for Sanjaya + Chariot. This shows him at 16 (before Idol) singing gospel solo in a choir. This boy CAN SING and good. He has soul in him. I can't understand how people can think he's the worst singer ever. Either they're so easily brainwashed by the media or they're tone-deaf. Tony Bennett has only good things to say about him. In time, people will see that they were wrong all along when he becomes a true star and a real artist. "

" I wish Sanjaya all the best. I loved him on "Idol". Thought he was very sweet and very entertaining and despite the critics, I think he has a lovely voice. He's had a heavy load for a boy barely 17 yrs old. I sincerely hope he comes out of this as sweet as he began. "

" I hope Sanjaya reads some of these well deserved and long over due comments to this article.
People love you!
Your voice was unique and full of heart.
One reader wrote "With Sanjaya, it feels like we witnessed the birth and slowly right in front of our eyes he is growing up."
That says it all.
You wore your heart out where everyone could see.
Most people are so jaded and sarcastic these days they don't know what to make of Sanjaya's sweetness.
It broke many people's hearts to see him cry on the last show.
Sanjaya were hurt by the audience and no doubt the contestants but remained kind and loving.
This is what we need in an TRUE AMERICAN IDOL!
I wish we could hear you sing, act and smile every week.
"

" It's kinda pathetic that the Federal Way media waited all this time to print one nice article about this kid. Months of bashing and non-stop hatred from adult reporters seething with vitriol over a sweet dorky kid on a reality show. It's about time you reporters got off your lazy butts and actually interviewed people who know this kid. He's a nice kid. "
Denise wrote on May 2, 2007 9:28 AM:
" I read that Sanjaya and his family moved to Los Angeles now. I don't blame them. The Federal Way media has been bashing this kid the entire time. This is the first, and only, positive article I have ever read about him from Federal Way. It's obvious that the Federal Way media and reporters hate this kid. I don't get it. Why not support your hometown boy? He's a sweet kid who followed his dream and hirt nobody.
Anyway, thank you for this ONE original article. Better late than never, I guess. "

" Thank you for finally celebrating your hometown hero for what he is: a charming 17 year old kid with a sweet voice who gave it his all every week on AI. I was so disheartened to hear about the disrespect Federal Way showed Sanjaya while he was on the show. I could not imagine getting out there every week, doing your best, and knowing that your hometown couldn't be bothered to support you. I'm glad to see the tide is slowly turning. Your boy will be a STAR very, very soon. Celebrate and love him for the wonderful entertainer that he is! "

" Thankyou for the story. It is sad how journalists act like parrots these days. They just keep regurgitating the same story without any base. Most people whom I have met who claim that Sanjaya cannot sing have never watched the show or listened to him sing. It has just become a hip thing to pick on him.
Sanjaya is a an inspiring story for those who paid some attention. He is as Original as you can get. His voice is very unique compared to his contemporaries, it is very sweet and addictive. With a little more coaching, he will learn to best use his talent. I cannot wait for his CD.
Sanjaya is unpretentious. He is vulnerable yet strong. He is Shy yet daring. He is amateur yet confident. He is full of surprises, he is so unpredictable. He is raw and you know with some polishing he will be unstoppable. Others on the show have done their thing for years and establish their style and have almost reached their potential. With Sanjaya, it feels like we witnessed the birth and slowly right in front of our eyes he is growing up. We know this is only the beginning and how exciting it will be for us to witness him blossoming into a full blown superstar. "

" I'm so pleased to read some positive stories about Sanjaya. He has thousands of fans - I'm no teenie bopper - of all ages. He's a sweet, talented and handsome boy who simply has that special star quality. He makes me smile. And hey, Tony Bennett thought he was 'terrific.' So did J-Lo, Clay Aiken voted for him, Kelly Clarkson is a fan. This is just the beginning for Sanjaya. "

" Well, it's nice to hear some good things about Sanjaya! He IS a very charming, lovable young man, and I think he'll go far, as long as he ignores those nasty critics. I wish him the very best life has to offer, and hope he retains his charm and doesn't become jaded by all the wordly distractions surrounding him. He's a diamond in the rough, and can only get better with time. And, like Jill Ochsner said, he makes me smile everytime I hear about him. I genuinely like Sanjaya. He's a lot of fun to watch and listen to. I'll be looking out for him -- he's not forgotten. Besides, he already made history, and no one can take that away from him. As Diana Ross said of him, "Sanjaya is love". Enough said. "

" About time you guys started printing some stories with at least a bit of a positive angle about Sanjaya.
Would have been nice for you to support him while he was on the show!!
How about a story about why the Mayor refused to support him when he was asked to do so during the show and how he even went so far as to call him an "Idol wannabe" after he made the top 10???
"
