Coming out of his Shell
Long time Shell station owner Eric Elsey has switched gears, opting to pump Union 76 beginning next week at his station in Des Moines.
Elsey said his agreement with Shell expired allowing him to choose the type of fuel he wanted to sell. While the colors may change at the popular service station, the expert mechanic work and friendly staff will stay the same.
Union 76
Thank you Eric and a thanks to your dad for always being there for us in DesMoines.
Thanks Eric Elsey
For years now, I have avoided going anywhere but the Texaco, Shell, and soon to be Union 76 staion owned and operated by Eric Elsey. Doing business in the city where we live is always good but with Eric it went even further one day. Our car hit a curb in front of the Des Moines Creek Restaurant and from our favorite gas station came all the help we needed to get our car back on the road. First they called Pete's Towing (another friend) to get the car delivered to the Shell Staion where Eric found a location for us to buy new tires to replace the ones that had blown out. Once delivered, the new tires were installed by the stations expert mechanics and we were on the road again. We congratulate the choice of fuel that the new staion will be offering and will continue our patronage. You see, the products are of course primary in choosing what we buy but the difference is in the people with whom you do business. Back in New Jersey, where we once lived, people like Eric Elsey were referred to as "good people"! So, good luck good people!
