Arizona immigration law supported
Exception is taken to the letter in the 5/14 edition of the Times/News by Harold Herrera, re his dislike of the Arizona Immigration Law that he disrespectfully calls the racial profiling law.
I am 69 years old, born and raised in the USA and make no apologies for that and, yes, I support the Arizona law 100 percent and the attempts by some other states to duplicate it.
I remind Mr. Herrera of the laws that Mexico imposes on those from Central and South America who seek to enter Mexico and especially what happens if they enter illegally.
The 12 million or so illegals is an estimate and now considered to be on the low side.
I have no problem with legal immigrants, even those who are now illegal, but only if they "take a number," get in line and wait their turn and if it takes 50 years for your name to get to the top, so be it. Learn English while you are waiting.
Let us also not forget the drug violence in Mexico and its effect north of the border and the crimes committed by illegals.
We are a nation of laws, but it appears not all think that should continue. If that makes me a "racist" in your eyes, believe me. I can live with that.

ARIZONA IMMIGRATION LAW SUPPORTED
I ALSO WAS BORN IN THIS COUNTRY AND I ALSO SUPPORT THE NEW LAW IN ARIZONA. I JUST WISH WE HAD SOME PEOPLE WITH ENOUGH BACK-BONE IN OFFICES HERE TO PASS THAT SAME LAW. WE NEED IT HERE VERY BADLY.
I'am fully supportive of
I'am fully supportive of Arizona'sImmigration Law and I agree more states should also do this and we need to
support this to get our country back on track.
Way to go Arizona I'am proud of you and support you
100% I just hope and pray some day before it's to late
that the other U.S. states follow in the same path and get off their----- and finally support something that is right for a change. I love Minnesota but it has crossed our minds to move to Arizona to a state that know what America really is all about.
Thank you and God Bless
Arizona Law
I support the law in Arizona."I'm not a racist stupid your here ILLEAGLE"
?? what?? ha ha, yes you are
?? what?? ha ha, yes you are stupid!
Wait and see
First of all I would like to congratulate Arizona for doing SOMETHING. Second, we as a City/State should mind our own business until we have our own act together. Boycotts, public condemnations of Arizona, and unfounded rhetoric?
Lets see how this plays out first and then make our criticisms/adjustments.
Arizona, right or wrong, is trying something in regards to immigration. What are our Washington State/Seattle legislators doing, besides running their mouths and playing to the crowd?
Racial/situational profiling is not going away anytime soon and it addresses fear sometimes versus logic. The current “outrage” is not yet justified and perhaps we should ask the current LEGAL immigrants first before making judgments.
Support for Arizona
Count me in as one of those who supports Arizona and their efforts to do something that the Federal government clearly doesn't have the backbone to do - follow the law. Think I'll spend my vacation dollars on Arizona this year.
